Location and Accessibility

As the conference will be in hybrid format, we will be sending out more information on the online format, including links to sessions, etc., closer to the time.

The conference will be held in the Diamond Building on the University of Sheffield campus, which has wheelchair access, lifts, hearing loops, and accessible and gender-neutral toilets. For more information on accessibility, please visit the University of Sheffield website and the AccessAble website.

A quiet room will be available and we will aim to make presentations and handouts available ahead of time. All selected speakers will be contacted about any dietary restrictions. If you have additional accessibility requests or require accommodation, please don't hesitate to let us know via the abstract submission form or by directly emailing us if you wish to ask before submitting an abstract. We will try our best to accommodate your requests.

Accommodation & Transport

From the Bus Interchange outside of the Sheffield Train Station, there are several buses (6, 120, 95, 10a) that go to Glossop Road/Gell Street, the closest bus stop to the Diamond. You can also take the tram (blue line) to the University stop.
Sheffield is serviced by a large number of buses. Buses in Sheffield are operated by a variety of companies, most prominently First, Stagecoach, and TM Travel. The tram is operated by Stagecoach. Some fare types cover multiple carriers, some must be used only on one carrier. Be sure to inform the driver or agent which services you will require. This is likely the most cost-effective way to travel to your accommodation outside of the city center.

For more information on the trams, visit: http://www.supertram.com/

General public transit information is available here: www.travelsouthyorkshire.com

To book a cab with City Taxi call (0)114 239 39 39. You can also book through their mobile app or website: www.citytaxis.com. The fare from the station to our conference venue will be about £4-6; card payment may not be accepted.

There are a number of hotels in the area. In the higer price range we recommend Halifax Hall, The Rutland, Kenwood Hall, Leopold, Wilson Carlile Centre. For more budget hotels there is Premier Inn, Leonardo Hotel and Easy Hotel.
